Live-In Care Anywhere in Connecticut

Our hourly care is focused on the four counties above, but our live-in caregivers are available statewide, in every corner of Connecticut. Live-in care lets your loved one stay in the home they know while someone is there throughout the day to help with personal care, meals, companionship, and daily routines. It can also help when you and your parent live in different parts of the state. Because we offer both hourly and live-in options, care can change as your loved one’s needs change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Don’t see your town?
Please give us a call. The towns above are examples, not a complete list. Hourly care is available in Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, and Litchfield Counties, and live-in care is available anywhere in Connecticut. We will let you know whether we can help.

My parent lives in a different part of the state than I do. Can you still help?
Yes. Many families arrange care from a distance. We can handle the consultation by phone and work with you as the family contact even if you do not live with your parent.

Is your home care medical?
No. Acuity Homecare provides non-medical care only, such as personal care, meals, companionship, and respite. Medical care is left to licensed medical providers.

Can we start with hourly care and switch to live-in later?
Yes. Some families start with a few visits a week, while others need someone in the home from the beginning. Because we offer both hourly and live-in care in Connecticut, your loved one’s plan can change as their needs change.

What happens during the home safety assessment?
We walk through the home using a 100-point checklist for everyday safety concerns, such as tripping hazards, slippery bathroom floors, steep stairs, and poor lighting, and share practical suggestions with you. Like the consultation, it is free.
