Personal Care & Companions

As we age, everyday tasks can get harder and days can get lonely. Acuity’s experienced caregivers and companions help with the routines of daily life and bring friendship and conversation back into the day, so your loved one can stay safely at home. In addition, seniors often experience feelings of loneliness, depression, and isolation due to loss of friends and loved ones with whom they experienced life. Maintaining social bonds is crucial to thwarting those feelings and living a good quality life.

Support and companionship improves quality of life through specialized assistance and attention provided to you or your loved one. Whether it’s personal care, or just someone who stops in for a midday check-in, those moments of socialization make all the difference. The impact of maintaining those social bonds is often a longer and healthier life with improved comfort and wellbeing. Acuity Homecare offers various levels of support to meet those needs.

Personal Care Services

Hourly Assistance

Our most popular service is designed for clients who benefit from assistance on a regularly scheduled basis each week. Schedules and care plans are customized based on each individual’s needs, and caregivers are available from as little as 8 to 24 hours divided into multiple shifts. This service is billed hourly and may consist of multiple caregivers if more than 8hrs of care is needed per day. Caregivers are not permitted to sleep as they work a regular shift.

24/7 Live-in Assistance

Live-in Assistance offers the added benefit of a 24/7 live-in caregiver. This level of care is available from 1 to 7 days per week and is billed at a flat daily rate. Caregivers who live-in are afforded 8 hours of sleep per 24 hours in addition to regular meal and personal time breaks throughout each day

  • Live-in services are ideal for individuals or couples who need care during the day along with the reassurance of a caregiver nearby at night.
